Fred, In my eyes, you are the greatest human being on the face of the earth. You are my greatest and truest friend. You have a gift of helping others have the confidence to be brave, be themselves, laugh and see the beauty in everything around them. The lens in which you view life is contagious and makes others want to be around you all the time.  I learn from you everyday and you are the smartest person I know. The kids will often ask me questions about science, history, physics, math... that I don't know the answer to. I don't know why they keep asking me when most of the time I don't have answers for them. But I always say, "Dad would probably know, ask him" and almost every time, you know the answer. Or on the rare occasion you don't, you invite the kids to learn with you. You're such a dynamic, interesting person who seems to know so much. After all, you are very superior.  And your very superior brain has been able to financially support a family of ...

HAPPY 40th BIRTHDAY FRED!!! Dear Dear Fred, How in the world can you be 40???!!! I’m SO glad that you were born and came into our lives. I’m not exactly sure of the day I actually got to meet you back in the fall of 1993. I do know that you met our Greg very shortly after we moved into our house on the now infamous Franwood Drive. I know that you met Greg when he walked down Franwood to join your game of hide and seek. I also know that you welcomed him and became best friends very quickly. I remember so many times you and the rest of the guys were hanging out at our house….causing ruckus, swimming, listening to music, playing video games, skate boarding, laughing, joking around and creating a bond that continues to be a special part of each of our lives. Little did I know at the time how very important you would be to us. Oh, those days were so fun. You guys playing crazy weird games out front running up and down the street. You’d make the Franwood Riots chasing, tackling, kicking, dog...

Man, Fred where do I start. Let me first begin by welcoming you to the old club! It all began at Valencia Marketplace T-Mobile where you were lucky enough to work for me and I was gracious enough to let you do everything. When we weren’t busy dominating performance, there was definitely time for practical jokes. I still can’t get that image out of my head of you on stage in that Rocky outfit. And then came the day where you got a girlfriend and I remember thinking, wow someone likes you.  In all seriousness, we have gone through lots of milestones together. I was able to witness the wedding of you and Kirsten and see the four kids you have raised. I am truly grateful for our friendship over the years and have learned a lot from you. You are a dedicated, hard working father and have done an incredible job taking care of your family. Wishing you a happy 40th birthday!  GP

To my favorite uncle named Fred, I feel so lucky to have an uncle like you. You have taught me how to find the fun in every situation, how to push anyone's buttons in the most creative ways, and how to seriously work hard to be successful at anything you pursue.  Dear Elder Everts, I will never forget the shine you exuded and the example you were in our time together in England. You were not just a wonderful Assistant to me personally but a wonderful leader and example to all! You have a gift with people and an ability to love and care and your influence touched many lives especially our own family. Fred,  I remember opening up my suitcase when I arrived in Japan and finding your letter sitting there. I can't tell you how many times I read it.  Not because of what you said, so much as the fact that you wrote a note to me that I could always go back and look at, especially when so few people could get what I was going through. So, here's my chance to pay it back to you, albeit under slightly different circumstances given how life has taken us over the last decade.  First I'll say that it's weird to me that your age will always be frozen at like 23 for me. I don't know why, maybe it's because in my brain I'm still like 15.  That's around the same time you had Ethan if I'm not wrong. And it's also weird to think that in the last decade we have had so many shifts while living far away from each other that we are almost entirely different people than we were when we spent the majority of our time together. Happy 40th Birthday, Fred! May all your birthday wishes come true and may this be the best one yet! I have so many amazing memories of getting to work with you at T-Mobile like Achieving Peak Performance, Holiday Caravans, PYP & EARN More launch just to name a few. Fred,   Happy birthday!  I've been told turning forty is a big deal. It's the big 4-0!  However, I suspect you're approaching this milestone with great finesse just as you would anything else in your life. No, not Cisco Finesse. Jeeze! Fred, You are such a cool and good dad. When Rylee and I were thinking about having kids, I looked to the other dads in my life for examples and advice, and you are genuinely one of the best ones I know. You're a strong leader for your boys, a protector for Macie, and you do it with love. I'm so lucky to be in this family with you. I've loved hanging out with you at Camp on the Tramp and I hope we get to do another one soon!!  Let's hang out more, and soon! Fred, Happy 40th Birthday! I just wanted to take moment to share the impact you made in my life. There are not many people you meet as you are coming into your own professionally that take the time to reach out and ensure you are feeling supported, feeling secure in your role, and having fun all at the same time. I not only experienced this with you but I observed how you interacted and gave this support to everyone you worked with. You took the time to make an impact, to show those around you that they mattered to you, that their success mattered, and that if they weren't having fun while they worked toward their goals in life they were doing it wrong. Happy 40 th Fred! This really is the gift that will keep on giving because you can always read it when you’re having a rough day, or you just need validation of how awesome you are.     My earliest memories of you were around when you first got hired at Confie. I thought you were kind of a straightedge with all that corporatey talk and fancy training stuff, but then Ring Ring Baby came out and proved me wrong.  I don’t remember having too much interaction with you during those early years, but I know that you were there and seemed to be doing a lot of important stuff behind the scenes that Darrin liked. Fred, Little brother, first let me wish you a very happy 40 th birthday. Remember as you embark on what is sure to be the apex of your glamorous life, take stock in all that you've accomplished thus far. For the years to follow will be the slowest moving, least exciting and most monotonous, void of achievements which will garner much accolade. Your children will continue to grow and with their lives replace all recollections of fame and glory to which you had previously laid claim. Happy birthday, Freddie! Ever since you saved me from being the only blonde-haired, blue-eyed child in our family (and thus believing I was found under a rock or in a cabbage patch), you have held a special place in my heart. I appreciate your friendship in our adulthood, too. Especially the part where we both have weird health problems that make no sense to anybody else, even doctors! I've always admired your sarcastic wit and ability to make (almost) anyone laugh and (almost) any situation humorous. Have I told you? Obviously as my brother-in-law, there are lots of memories I have of Fred. The one that sticks out most was about 16 years ago. I was engaged and my family decided to go on a cruise. I was excited to have one last family vacation and get to hang out with my little sister Kirsten. She had just started dating this guy – “Fred”.  During our week long cruise – all I heard about was Fred. She missed him so much. She was in love. He was the one. She went on and on.  At the time I thought it was a bit silly since they hadn’t been dating long, but he seemed like a nice guy and made her happy. A few months later, Kirsten married Fred. He’s been around ever since and still she goes on and on about how wonderful Fred is and how much she loves him.  She really knew from the start that he was a great guy. It turns out she was right. You're such a great guy. You are so good to my sister and have created a beautiful family and life together. Happy 40th Birthday Fred! We love you too....

Meanings for the name Fred: elf or magical counsel or peaceful ruler. You are all those things to me. You appreciate the little people, are a magical counsel in making delicious Turkey, and keeping the peace in crazy times and you just tell it how it is. In all seriousness, we were so lucky to find you (and Kirsten), especially for my life partner Drew. Drew does not let others in very easily and he let you in with open arms and your friendship has been such a miracle in a crazy time. Freddy Fred, What can I say to one of the original Kool Kids. I’ve never had more fun at work than I did with you and our row of Kool Kids in Irvine. We had so much fun reserving conference rooms (Allison coming in to tell us how loud we are) and working on Achieving Peak Performance or really plays Heads Up! Our Baja Fish Tacos lunches (getting fat), Lee’s Coffee (where you should have gotten decaf), windows up playlist for SoCals holiday tour, hiding from CC…. These are all just some of my favorite adventures. Although I have to admit, my all-time favorite was when Trevor and I were arguing over who was a better friend with you… You didn’t answer his call but of course you answered mine.  We have shared so much of life together from secretly shopping for Kirsten’s SUV, meeting Macie for the first time, our hikes when we realized we were fat, our Universal Studios Horror Night where Kirsten kicked the monster (you basically paid all that money for Panda Express) and my wedding to ...

Thank you Fred for introducing us to your sweet, beautiful family at the pool Spring 2021. You made us feel welcomed in the community and are so kind. You guys are wonderful.
