From Marlena Everts

Hey Fred!  Happy Birthday! You are an incredibly amazing father and and even better uncle! I’m really really happy for all the times we randomly ran into each other on your bike, hahaha... stay wonderful! I hope this year is filled with so much success, happiness and all together love. You bring so much joy into all our lives. Hope to see you soon! Love you and again, HAPPY BIRTHDAY. Lena

From Rylee Klar

Happy Birthday, Fred! I know I haven’t told you, but you really have made a measurable difference in my life - from tormenting my childhood to modeling the best ways to “show up” for the people you love. Your humor is unmatched, and you always give the best gifts. You are such an example of what it means to be hard working, generous, and humble. Your support and help, both emotionally and financially, was instrumental in bringing Stella home to us, and I’ll never have the words to express my gratitude properly. I’m so thankful to have you in my life! My hope is that you get to know how much you mean to everyone around you, and that you feel loved and celebrated this year and always! Happy birthday! Love, Rylee

Freddie, In honor of your big Four Oh, here are some of my favorite Fred things: -Schwooming me down -Always being the last one ready in the morning -Erasing holes in your paper until every letter in your practice spelling test was just right -Bringing down the house in play after play -Singing pretty much anything but always Joseph -Building friendships forged in literal fire -Making sure we didn't embarrass ourselves by accidentally talking about farts or underwear -Showing us castles and kabobs and Cadbury chocolate  -Calling me randomly on your drive home from work -Loving your little family so fiercely  -Working hard at everything you do -And making me laugh EVERY SINGLE TIME we're together  I LOVE YOU! Hope 40 is your best year yet! Julie

Hey Fred, I guess first I should say Happy Birthday. That’s customary in this country right? Also 40, that’s a good chunk of time, and boy does it show. Lol. Jk. No, when it came time to change my name finally, I knew that I wanted to have our relationship represented. You were the first person I could think of that showed me how to be the “man” I wanted to be in this life. Sure you were crazy and unpredictable, but you were patient with me, kind to me, and played with Marlena and me despite having your own life to deal with. You constantly made time to be present at a time when I don’t remember having much of that, and from what it sounds like, over the years you have done that to the utmost degree with your family. The love and respect they all have for you is boundless, and rightly so. Because while you are just as crazy and unpredictable, you’re still that role model that I look up to. I hope your birthday is amazing and lives up to the hype you deserve at 40. Keep killing the game...

Freddy,  I could never put into words what your friendship has meant to me. It seems like just yesterday we were in our teens and running around Franwood and now your turning 40. Where does the time go? Those were the best of days, I will always look back on our teenage years fondly. I couldn’t pick out a single memory because their are so many that I cherish. It makes me so happy to see that your happy and have a wonderful family. I hope that life continues to give you everything you want and deserve. You were a huge part of my youth and I will never forget it. Thank you for being you. Happy 40th birthday.  Your friend forever, Justin Delgado

E.V. Ritz, Sooooo, you're getting old. It's okay though because, let's be honest, you are probably better looking as an old dude than you were as a young dude, JK.  There are so many ways that my life is better because of you.  Coming home from a mission with a built-in best buddy was pretty sweet. I might not have come through that as such a freaking cool chick if it wasn't for you. Having a travel companion with me to go back to the motherland was also a huge bonus.  That flight was sooooo long. Pretending we were getting engaged in order to appease the man, the legend, President Munday, was also a pretty funny highlight in my book. Remember the look on the APs faces. LOL!!   Your taste in music is pretty cool too! I remember seeing your Bad Religion tat and knowing then and there that we were going to be friends!!  I still have the signed Bad Religion mini mag you sent me.  It is a treasure that only cool people, like you, unders...

Happy 40th birthday Fred!      You are such a wonderful husband and father to your family.  Over the years we have seen great advancements and success your life especially with your goals and career choices. We were impressed that you were able to graduate from college while working full time and supporting a young family. Your generosity toward others has been noted by us on some occasions and truly you have a charitable attitude to those who are less fortunate. We are so glad that you make our daughter Kirsten happy as she says you are her "best friend"!  Ethan, Caleb, Asher, and Macie are so blessed to have a dad that is interested and involved in each of their lives and supportive of their interests, goals, and always celebrate their achievements. We know that your future will be bright, and you will always be successful in whatever you strive to accomplish.  Congratulations on turning forty years old! -Chuck & Lark

Oh, Fred. Welcome to the 40's club. I'd say it's lonely here, but it's not. I think it's way more fun and liberating cause it's all downhill from here! LOL!   Can you believe we're in our 40's, dude? And that we still talk to each other? It's crazy! I know we always joke around about how we met and went back and forth, but I want you to know I didn't hate you or get mad, obviously. It was waaaaayyy later that I learned to hate you. But, alas, that's why I enjoy working with you. It's rare to find someone you can speak your mind with, and it's all OK. It's not taken personally, and we can respect each other's point of view. And that is why I enjoy working with you and being friends. It's been a super cool journey to pick back up and keep running at Confie.  I hope you have a fantastic birthday and enjoy every minute of your 40's! Jen

Dearest Freddy, Happy Birthday! You are now part of the Fabulous Forty Club! There are only 2 members, so far. That’s me, and now you. But we’re growing. We’ve been tasked with sharing some Fred stuff and I like it. Also, Kirsten’s been pretty cute about asking, so you should hug that lady later. When I think about fun times we’ve had, I initially go back to our California Thanksgiving, six or so years ago, when we stopped by your house. We haven’t talked much in years, but seeing you and laughing with you, it felt like we talk all the time. It was awesome. Then I think about why that is. It’s because we have similar twisted minds. I knew it way way back in the day when we made so much of Booges. C’mon, saying beige with a V is not hard. She was dumb. And scared of me. I also love the time I got to spend with you when I moved back to mom and dad’s before you left for your mission and we’d stay up late and watch bad tv. Remember the stupid commercial with the cowboy wearing a duster - i...

Dear Fred, No amount of words will ever do justice to the love I feel in my heart for you, for your friendship with me yes, but beyond worlds your beautiful ever lasting friendship with Greg. I know if he were here today you would both be cracking up about the big 4-0 and making jokes and reminiscing about the good ol punk rock Franwood days. I recently became aware of the terminology of an “Anam Cara” a phrase that refers to the Celtic concept of the "soul friend". The Anam Cara involves a friendship that is described as “compassionate presence” . I know that you were with this for Greg. Through thick and thin, you were his solid ground. A place to laugh, to cry, to yell, to be his authentic self without judgement or fear.  And I know his love for you was and continues to be so very true. My heart is so grateful for yours. And as we celebrate the day that you came into this world   - you should know how wonderful you made his. And to watch you grow into such an amazing m...

From Mom and Dad

Fred,  You have been a part of us since long before your debut in this world. We talked about you for 8 years and 5 pregnancies before we finally met your stellar personality. You are entertaining! From the 2-year-old running into walls for fun, to "Who's on First?", to "Vive la Revolution", to "Joseph" and "The King and I", and now to the MOST motivational trainer and leader, you really are fun to watch! I love how you love and care for your people. You shared your love with the people of Great Britain and Wales on your mission. You make friends everywhere. I wish I were more like you. The best thing to see, though, is to watch you be the world's best husband and Daddy. To have a front-row seat to see your littles grow in the sunshine of your attention and affection is the best blessing to us, as your humbled parents. We tried to love our kids the best way, but you run rings around us in that department. We truly are so thankful you came...
