Dear Fred,

No amount of words will ever do justice to the love I feel in my heart for you, for your friendship with me yes, but beyond worlds your beautiful ever lasting friendship with Greg. I know if he were here today you would both be cracking up about the big 4-0 and making jokes and reminiscing about the good ol punk rock Franwood days. I recently became aware of the terminology of an “Anam Cara” a phrase that refers to the Celtic concept of the "soul friend". The Anam Cara involves a friendship that is described as “compassionate presence” . I know that you were with this for Greg. Through thick and thin, you were his solid ground. A place to laugh, to cry, to yell, to be his authentic self without judgement or fear.  And I know his love for you was and continues to be so very true. My heart is so grateful for yours. And as we celebrate the day that you came into this world   - you should know how wonderful you made his.

And to watch you grow into such an amazing man, husband and father. We both love you so very much. Enjoy every moment to the fullest, eat all the cake, laugh till your cheeks just can’t take it, dance like no ones watching, love and be loved fiercely. Here’s to an EPIC ride around the Sun!! Happy 40th you spring chicken!

HAPPY 40th BIRTHDAY FRED!!! Dear Dear Fred, How in the world can you be 40???!!! I’m SO glad that you were born and came into our lives. I’m not exactly sure of the day I actually got to meet you back in the fall of 1993. I do know that you met our Greg very shortly after we moved into our house on the now infamous Franwood Drive. Fred, In my eyes, you are the greatest human being on the face of the earth. You are my greatest and truest friend. You have a gift of helping others have the confidence to be brave, be themselves, laugh and see the beauty in everything around them. The lens in which you view life is contagious and makes others want to be around you all the time.  I learn from you everyday and you are the smartest person I know. The kids will often ask me questions about science, history, physics, math... that I don't know the answer to. I don't know why they keep asking me when most of the time I don't have answers for them. But I always say, "Dad would probably know, ask him" and almost every time, you know the answer.
