Happy Birthday Fred, or Elder Everts to me!

I don’t think you really know the impact you had on my life as a young teenager and missionary, Elder Everts. I lived with many assistants the 2 years I was in England. 2 of them had a unique impact and effect on my life and you, Elder Everts are one of them. I loved the time we got to live together. You taught me so much & when you left the mission I was devastated. I lost a true friend. To me you were a spiritual giant and yet so much fun. We had amazing times together, spiritual moments, incredible wrestling matches, & constants pranks on Hargreaves.

When I went on my mission, my goal was to be like you, Elder Everts ~ spiritual, fun, making everyone around me smile & better. I have no doubt you are the most amazing dad and husband.

HAPPY 40th BIRTHDAY FRED!!! Dear Dear Fred, How in the world can you be 40???!!! I’m SO glad that you were born and came into our lives. I’m not exactly sure of the day I actually got to meet you back in the fall of 1993. I do know that you met our Greg very shortly after we moved into our house on the now infamous Franwood Drive. Fred, In my eyes, you are the greatest human being on the face of the earth. You are my greatest and truest friend. You have a gift of helping others have the confidence to be brave, be themselves, laugh and see the beauty in everything around them. The lens in which you view life is contagious and makes others want to be around you all the time.  I learn from you everyday and you are the smartest person I know. The kids will often ask me questions about science, history, physics, math... that I don't know the answer to. I don't know why they keep asking me when most of the time I don't have answers for them. But I always say, "Dad would probably know, ask him" and almost every time, you know the answer. Or on the rare occasion you don't, you invite the kids to learn with you. You're such a dynamic, interesting person who seems to know so much.
