From Brooke Ballstaedt

Fred, I loved hearing you and your family sing songs every Christmas, and at many other gatherings at Grandma's and Aunt Sue's throughout the years. I love that you have always shared your talents with others so freely. I think your Joseph rendition is better than Donny's and I secretly hope Kirsten records it sometime so I can hear it again. Happy Birthay! Love,  Brooke

Dear Fred, My friendship with you has been awesome. Even though we don't see each other very much anymore. All the years I've known you, you have always been positive, kind hearted, genuine, and overall just a really good friend. We've known each other for over 20 years. We have had a lot of good memories together. Hanging out with you and the guys during our teenage years were some of the best times I have ever had. I wish I could relive some of those. Your friendship to me, means a lot. You've always had this aura around you that will make people smile when you are in the same room. I'm glad I met you all those years ago. I'm still glad that we can still keep in touch even if we don't talk for a couple years. We are both just bad and picking up the phone and just saying "hey". I'm glad I have had the opportunity to see you grow as a man and also seeing the family man you have become. I cant believe you're going to be 40. Dude, that's ...

Fred,      I can still remember the day when I felt like you and I were finally going to be friends. Our childhood got off with a bit of a rocky start, which I am sure you can remember. But, the day of your 8th grade graduation, if felt like something finally shifted. I remember giving you a hug to congratulate you and feeling you hug me back. A real hug. Shortly after that, you and I were working in theatre together and I was so excited to share it with you. From that point on, I knew that even though you were going to be the one to tease me the most and give me the most grief, you were also going to be the first one to stand up for me if anyone else got on my case. I knew you loved me. That love helped me during the rest of the difficult years of high school. I know life has separated us by distance, but I will always love you and be grateful for the experiences that we have had together. Thanks for being such a crazy, funny, and strong person. Here's to another awesome...

Fred! Happy Birthday! I’m so glad I got to grow up close to you and your family so we were able to spend the holidays together. You always made me laugh and your singing brought a smile to my face! I hope you have a great birthday! Love, Brenna

Happy Birthday Fred, or Elder Everts to me! I don’t think you really know the impact you had on my life as a young teenager and missionary, Elder Everts. I lived with many assistants the 2 years I was in England. 2 of them had a unique impact and effect on my life and you, Elder Everts are one of them. I loved the time we got to live together. You taught me so much & when you left the mission I was devastated. I lost a true friend. To me you were a spiritual giant and yet so much fun. We had amazing times together, spiritual moments, incredible wrestling matches, & constants pranks on Hargreaves. When I went on my mission, my goal was to be like you, Elder Everts ~ spiritual, fun, making everyone around me smile & better.  I have no doubt you are the most amazing dad and husband. Thanks for everything, Benj Munday

Freddie Fredders, Happy 40th Birthday!  Thanks for being the biggest supporter to my girl Kirsten. You are such a talented and supportive person, hard worker and fun dad to those cute kiddos. Thanks for all your help with gift ideas. Cheers to you Fred! May this year bring more singing duets with Kirsten and all the good things that you enjoy. Wishing we all lived closer so my kids could come over and destroy your house and drive you all nuts. Just kidding, only partially... Emily Torgeson
